This will be an arts showdown like Namibia has never seen before at the Arts Fair Battle Royale! Painters, Dancers and Musicians, going 3 rounds in an amazing competition at one of Windhoek's hottest new venues.
The venue will be The Kitchen at 1990 Freedom Plaza, just a short walk away from the Arts Fair! (We'll have guides in case you get lost!)
Entry is free, just come and enjoy the show! You will be able to purchase the artwork after the event and the musicians albums and music will be available for purchase after the show.
There will be 3 separate battles events, one for painting, music, and dance. The battle will have the following program:
Event Program
The winner of each battle will be selected by the crowd by applause. Artworks completed in the Art battle will be available for purchase in silent auction on the day of the Art Battle. Payment for those paintings will be arranged through the Namibia Arts Fair. Art prices can be set by the artist. Please remember to include the commission in the costing of your art work, if applicable.
Art Battle - Artists will be given 15 minutes per round to complete their artwork using the materials provided.
Music Battle - Artists will be given 3 minutes each to perform a song, live. Musicians can sell their music and albums at the event at the merchandise table, and all payment transactions will go through the Namibia Arts Fair.
Dance Battle - Dancers will have 2 minutes to perform original choreography, to a song of their choice.
