Are you interested in art, design, and event planning? Do you want to learn the in and outs of Festival Planning? Do you enjoy planning events? If you answered yes to these questions, then an internship with the Namibia Arts Fair is for you! College students or recent grads, put your skills and smarts to work with us! You'll get real-world experience working with our festival team as well as our artists. Internships are open to college students of all years, both undergraduate and graduate. While the internships are unpaid, they offer the interns valuable experience in a professional working setting and the opportunity to expand their network within the Windhoek, Namibia community. Goal setting and organization are critical for an event to get off the ground, which is why we have Ramatoulie Sallah-Muhammed, the Event Organizer and director for the Namibia Arts Fair. Ramatoulie Sallah-Muhammed - Event Organizer Ramatoulie Sallah-Muhammed aka Rahma the Bass is a multi-disciplinary artist, who performs as Rahma the Bass. She has organized many Namibian events, and has worked in festivals, events and conventions in both the U.S. and Namibia as a vendor, workshop presenter and organizer. She is a vocalist, song-writer and her instrument of choice is either the double bass or the bass guitar (hence the name). Call For Volunteers

We need volunteers for exciting front-of-house and behind-the-scenes roles throughout the duration of the show. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and gain experience working within a creative, collaborative environment. Responsibilities include: Ensure that all visitors and artists have a positive experience at the show. Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Deal with any queries or questions about the Namibia Arts Fair. Help visitors navigate the Art Fair and direct them to the artist they are looking for. Work behind the bar when necessary, selling drinks and preparing orders. Provide information about the Namibia Arts Fair and the artists taking part in the show. Make your Arts Fair experience a breeze with these FAQs: When is the Art Fair open? Namibia Arts Fair - Saturday July 28th: 10am - 6pm Arts Fair Battle Royale -  Saturday July 28th: 6:30pm - 8pm Charity Art Auction -  Saturday July 28th: 6:30pm - 8pm Do I need a ticket? Entrance is N$30 before the 28th of July, through purchase on the PayToday app, the Today website or through the Airtime city kiosks. Tickets will be N$40 at the gate. No event is complete without the event coordinator and the Arts Fair is no exception. Samuel Matengu, artist name SkySam is a crucial part of our team, and we would not be able to acheive what we do without him. We are delighted to say that Jeoffrey Mukubi, performance artist, writer and art & culture critic, is part of the Namibia Arts Fair organizing team!  Jeoffrey (or Jeff as he's known by his friends) is a staunch advocate for the arts and has been instrumental in helping the Arts Fair reach a larger audience. He encourages us to engage with local art stakeholders and to be innovative in our creative experiences. Jeoffrey is currently an arts & lifestyle writer for the Confidente newspaper. He believes that art reflects cultural values, beliefs and identity and helps to preserve the many different communities that make up our world. Art chronicles our own lives and experiences over time, and that we need art to understand our shared and lived experiences, not only for the artist, but for the community at large.
