Are you interested in art, design, and event planning? Do you want to learn the in and outs of Festival Planning? Do you enjoy planning events? If you answered yes to these questions, then an internship with the Namibia Arts Fair is for you! College students or recent grads, put your skills and smarts to work with us! You'll get real-world experience working with our festival team as well as our artists. Internships are open to college students of all years, both undergraduate and graduate. While the internships are unpaid, they offer the interns valuable experience in a professional working setting and the opportunity to expand their network within the Windhoek, Namibia community. Partner Feature: The Power Pad Girls

The Power Pad Girls, are an intersectional feminist organisation that raise money to buy reusable pads for school girls who can't afford them. Thousands of Namibian school girls miss an average of 3 school days a month because they can’t afford menstrual products, and that has a knock on effect on the quality of education that they receive. Girls use pieces from old mattresses, newspapers and in some cases leaves to catch their menses. Who They Are We are a group of likeminded young Namibian women in our 20s who believe that no girl should miss out on school because she cannot afford menstrual products.,Since 2015, we have raised more than N$40000 for this cause and have had our pads delivered to girls across the country in partnership with Sister Namibia’s Sister Pad Project who supply the pad kit - which includes two reusable pads and four inlays cost all for the cost N$150. Guide to the Arts Fair Battle Royale

This will be an arts showdown like Namibia has never seen before at the Arts Fair Battle Royale ! Painters, Dancers and Musicians, going 3 rounds in an amazing competition at one of Windhoek's hottest new venues.  The Kitchen - Arts Fair Battle Royale Venue The venue will be The Kitchen at 1990 Freedom Plaza, just a short walk away from the Arts Fair! Ramatoulie Sallah-Muhammed - Event Organizer Ramatoulie Sallah-Muhammed aka Rahma the Bass is a multi-disciplinary artist, who performs as Rahma the Bass. She has organized many Namibian events, and has worked in festivals, events and conventions in both the U.S. and Namibia as a vendor, workshop presenter and organizer. She is a vocalist, song-writer and her instrument of choice is either the double bass or the bass guitar (hence the name). Foibe Amundaba will be hosting a Recycled Jewelry Workshop at the Namibia Art Fair at 11:00am at the Goethe Institut. Elevation Through Art Expression with Larry Kazombiaze

Join us on the 28th of July at 10am for Elevation through Art Expression! The main aim of the workshop is to educate and assist artists in finding new forms of expression in order to combat social issues in their community such as gender based violence and alcoholism. Participants will be taught how to focus their art talents through the improvement of their skills and educating others. Larry with the President of Namibia, Dr. Hage Geingob, showcasing some of his portrait artwork. This workshop is being taught by Mr. Larry Tizayo Kazombiaze, a self-taught Namibian artist, who has sold his art commercially and nationally.  Workshop Entry Fee: N$100 per adult and N$60 per student entry includes a welcome drink, access to the entire festival, the food market and live performances. Artist Interview with Miss H

This weekend we had a meeting with Heather Dennis, commonly known as Miss H, front man for the Fate of Miss H, and a very well known multidisciplinary artist in Namibia. We sat down with her to find out her perspective on the current art industry and where she sees it expanding to in terms of her artistic expression. Catch Miss H live at the Namibia Arts Fair! What is your artistic background? I am an actor, singer, dancer, recently comedian, I've done theatre work and stage work, both on and off stage, and basically art. What does your work try to say? That you can be whatever you want to be and you can be as free as you want to be in your expression of yourself. Who are your biggest influences?
