Guide to the Arts Fair Battle Royale

This will be an arts showdown like Namibia has never seen before at the Arts Fair Battle Royale ! Painters, Dancers and Musicians, going 3 rounds in an amazing competition at one of Windhoek's hottest new venues.  The Kitchen - Arts Fair Battle Royale Venue The venue will be The Kitchen at 1990 Freedom Plaza, just a short walk away from the Arts Fair! (We'll have guides in case you get lost!) Entry is free, just come and enjoy the show! You will be able to purchase the artwork after the event and the musicians albums and music will be available for purchase after the show.  There will be 3 separate battles events, one for painting, music, and dance. Elevation Through Art Expression with Larry Kazombiaze

Join us on the 28th of July at 10am for Elevation through Art Expression! The main aim of the workshop is to educate and assist artists in finding new forms of expression in order to combat social issues in their community such as gender based violence and alcoholism. Participants will be taught how to focus their art talents through the improvement of their skills and educating others. Larry with the President of Namibia, Dr. Hage Geingob, showcasing some of his portrait artwork. This workshop is being taught by Mr. Larry Tizayo Kazombiaze, a self-taught Namibian artist, who has sold his art commercially and nationally.  Workshop Entry Fee: N$100 per adult and N$60 per student entry includes a welcome drink, access to the entire festival, the food market and live performances. Namibian Film & Video Theatre at the Namibia Arts Fair!

We will be hosting a multi-media booth and film theatre during the Namibia Arts Fair, and have received multiple submissions from local musicians and filmmakers to showcase their feature films, short films and music videos. Catch them in the Indoor Gallery at the Goethe-Institut on Saturday, the 28th of July 2018. Movies will be screening from 10am until 6pm so don't miss out. We'll be featuring videos from Matheus Mbundu, Karl Ehlers aka LOFT, LILA, Reggie Films and many more! Watch the video below for a sneak peak at the great films we have in store! Artist Interview with Miss H

This weekend we had a meeting with Heather Dennis, commonly known as Miss H, front man for the Fate of Miss H, and a very well known multidisciplinary artist in Namibia. We sat down with her to find out her perspective on the current art industry and where she sees it expanding to in terms of her artistic expression. Catch Miss H live at the Namibia Arts Fair! What is your artistic background? I am an actor, singer, dancer, recently comedian, I've done theatre work and stage work, both on and off stage, and basically art. What does your work try to say? That you can be whatever you want to be and you can be as free as you want to be in your expression of yourself. Who are your biggest influences? Michael Jackson and Beyonce as performers, musically, people like Etta James, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Beatles. I like everybody.
