Learn Contact Improvisation Dance with Haymich Olivier

Instructor - Haymich Olivier Event Description Award-winning Namibian Choreographer, Dancer, and Dance Educator, Haymich Olivier has more than a decade of experience in the field. Lecturer at the College of the Arts and Co-Director of First Rain Dance Theatre, he will be offering a contact improvisation workshop for teenagers and adults, geared at discovering the internal movement mechanics of the body. This freeing experience is in a non-judgemental space, with no previous experience needed. This workshop has been proudly sponsored by NEO Paints , Party World , and Advantage Y&R  with the venue being sponsored by the Goethe-Institut. Organizer Spotlight: Jeoffrey Mukubi

We are delighted to say that Jeoffrey Mukubi, performance artist, writer and art & culture critic, is part of the Namibia Arts Fair organizing team!  Jeoffrey (or Jeff as he's known by his friends) is a staunch advocate for the arts and has been instrumental in helping the Arts Fair reach a larger audience. He encourages us to engage with local art stakeholders and to be innovative in our creative experiences. Jeoffrey is currently an arts & lifestyle writer for the Confidente newspaper. He believes that art reflects cultural values, beliefs and identity and helps to preserve the many different communities that make up our world. Art chronicles our own lives and experiences over time, and that we need art to understand our shared and lived experiences, not only for the artist, but for the community at large.
