Foibe Amundaba will be hosting a Recycled Jewelry Workshop at the Namibia Art Fair at 11:00am at the Goethe Institut. The main aim of the workshop is to educate and assist artists in finding new forms of expression in order to combat social issues in their community such as gender based violence and alcoholism. Participants will be taught how to focus their art talents through the improvement of their skills and educating others. We are delighted that the Namibia Arts Fair was featured on NBC News! Two of our workshop lecturers, Este Wiggil (calabash carving) and John Kalunda (mixed media painting) were featured at their studios discussing how it is possible to make a living from art, and how local cultural organizations help facilitate the showcasing and sale of Namibian Art.
