We need volunteers for exciting front-of-house and behind-the-scenes roles throughout the duration of the show. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and gain experience working within a creative, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that all visitors and artists have a positive experience at the show.
- Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
- Deal with any queries or questions about the Namibia Arts Fair.
- Help visitors navigate the Art Fair and direct them to the artist they are looking for.
- Work behind the bar when necessary, selling drinks and preparing orders.
- Provide information about the Namibia Arts Fair and the artists taking part in the show.
- Maximise opportunities for visitors to donate and purchase affordable artwork. The Namibia Arts Fair is self-funded and we rely on the generosity of our visitors to keep it going.
Mandatory Volunteer Meeting - Friday, July 20th 2018
As we come up to the day of the event, it is important that everyone know what they will need to do on the day of the event. We would like to invite you to a brief introductory meeting on Friday, the 20th of July 2018 at the Goethe Institute so you can learn all the positions we have available, their tasks, and how you can benefit from becoming a volunteer.
We will also be selecting team captains for different tasks to ensure that people know who to speak to or contact for shift changes, or for helping customers on the day of the event.
Please note that attendance at this event is mandatory for all who wish to volunteer at the Namibia Art Fair. Walk-upvolunteers who have not been properly briefed will not be accepted.
